About Gidi Life

A life sim made for Lagos

Gidi Life is a free life simulation game set in Lagos, Nigeria. It puts real Lagos on screen: real streets in 3D, the Third Mainland Bridge and the lagoon boats, danfo, BRT and the Blue Line, Mama Put bukas and owambes. You live a life there, alongside other real players.

You start by creating your Lagosian and choosing how your story starts: born with a silver spoon, or self-made. From there you hustle, work, learn a trade, pay rent, buy and build property, open a business and make friends, with the city's ups and downs along the way: payday joy, go-slow vex, and trouble at night if you've nowhere to sleep.

Why "Gidi"?

"Gidi" (from "Lasgidi") is the nickname Lagosians use for their city. Gidi Life means Lagos life, and that's the whole idea of the game.
