Gidi Life is a free life simulation game set in Lagos, Nigeria. You create your Lagosian, pick how your story starts (silver spoon or self-made), and then it's your life: hustle, work, pay rent, ride the city's buses and trains, buy property, open a business and party with other players. It's a Lagos game you play in your browser or inside Telegram, with nothing to download.
"Gidi" is what Lagosians call Lagos (from "Lasgidi"), so Gidi Life simply means Lagos life: the go-slow, the danfo conductors, the suya at night, the owambe on Saturday and the hustle on Monday.

Start small: run a POS stand, grill suya, ride okada, trade in Balogun, or shout bus stops as a danfo conductor. Shift done? Next hustle loading.

Work your way into a real job or learn a trade and get certified: doctor, lawyer, police, tech and more.

Enter danfo and shout your stop before the bus passes. Ride BRT, keke, okada, ride-hail, or the Blue and Red Line trains.

Walk and ride through Lagos as it is, from Marina to Third Mainland Bridge and the lagoon boats, on the real map.

Aso ebi ready? Throw your own party or join one: dance floor, jollof table, money spraying. The guests are real players.

Press and hold any building on the Lagos map to see its price. Buy land, build floor by floor, rent it out. Landlord loading…

Open your own business, from a small shop to bigger things, and grow it as you climb from one room to the top.

Players aged 13 to 17 live the teen story: JSS3, BECE, SS1 to SS3, WAEC and JAMB. Score well and UNILAG is waiting.

Everyone in the city is a real player. Chat, call by voice, invite your guys, borrow small, and help each other out.

Yes. Gidi Life is free to play on the web and in Telegram. Inside Telegram there are optional extras you can buy with Telegram Stars, but you don't need them to play. The naira (₦) in the game is play money: you can't withdraw it or turn it into real money.
Yes. Gidi Life also runs inside Telegram as a Mini App, so it opens right in the chat with nothing to install. In Telegram it's the bot @lagoscity_life_bot: the same game, the same account if you link it. See how to play in Telegram.
Not to start. On the website you can tap Try as guest and play straight away: your progress is saved on that device. When you're ready, add your phone number (we send a code by SMS) and set a PIN, and the same Lagosian is safe on any device. Some things, like sending money to other players or buying land, need your number first. In Telegram you don't type a number; you're signed in with your Telegram account.
No. Gidi Life plays in your phone or computer's web browser, or inside Telegram. To get the Gidi Life app on your phone, open the website and add it to your home screen: it opens full screen like any other app.
No, you need an internet connection to play, because the city is shared with other real players. Once you've played, the website keeps game files on your phone so it opens faster and uses less data next time.
Gidi Life is free. Open it in your browser now, or play inside Telegram.
